Eurax cream contains an active ingredient named crotamiton, which is a medicine for to relieving itching (pruritis). Each application should provide relief from itching for 6 to 10 hours. It's particularly useful for relieving itching that can persist after scabies; it has been treated as an antiparasitic medicine.
For the relief of itching and skin irritation caused by, for example, sunburn, dry eczema, itchy dermatitis, allergic rashes, hives, nettle rash, chickenpox, insect bites and stings, heat rashes and personal itching.
For adults and children aged three years and above, the cream should be applied to the itchy area two to three times a day. Avoid applying the cream to weeping, oozing, raw, broken or inflamed areas of skin because this can cause irritation. Don't apply it around the eyes. Take care to avoid getting the cream inyour eyes, nose or mouth. Wash your hands after applying it and rinse the cream off thoroughly with warm water if you get it in these areas.
Stop using this cream and consult your doctor if you experience a burning sensation or rash while using it, or if your symptoms persist.
