Generic Daivonex (Calcipotriol) is a non-steroid treatment that is made to treat chronic plaque type psoriasis. Generic Daivonex is made to provide relief of the rough, red, and scaled skin buildup that is associated with plaque type psoriasis. Generic Daivonex may be used to treat other skin disorders not listed here. Consult your doctor or dermatologist before taking Generic Daivonex for either above mentioned conditions, or alternative uses.
- How to take
Begin treatment with Generic Daivonex as soon as it is prescribed to you. Generic Daivonex is generally applied twice daily to the affected areas of the skin. Your doctor may advise a change in dosage after a certain period of time, based on the effectiveness and severity of your treatment. Contact your doctor for the precise instructions that apply to you.
Do not use Generic Daivonex on your face, as it may cause erythema. Wash hands immediately after applying this ointment. Do not use more than 100mg of Generic Daivonex weekly (unless advised otherwise by your doctor). Do not cover affected areas with bandages or tight fitting clothing after use. - Side effects
Always read the ingredients before taking this or any other medication to ensure that there are no elements that may elicit an allergic reaction. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following side-effects associated with an allergic reaction: hives, shortness of breath, swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face.
Side effects associated with Generic Daivonex include:
eczema, hypercalcemia, erythema, cellulitis, dehydration, anorexia
